What you need...
  • Your own webspace with FTP access to the root level of your website

  • Your website must be running on a LINUX SERVER

  • Your web host must support php 4 or 5

  • Enough space on your web servers to host your web galleries.

  • TECH SPEAK WARNING: Your web host must also support ioncube encryption, loaders, and dynamic extensions must be enabled or a line will need to be added to the php.ini file. These are VERY common (we know it sounds confusing, but your host probably already supports these things). If you run into problems while trying to install the free trial, contact your host to confirm support of ioncube and dynamic extentions or modification of the php.ini file.

    These hosting requirements are very common, but if your host does not provide these requirements, we highly recommend IX WEB HOSTING They provide everything you need with free domain name registration and free domain transfer for $3.95/month.

    You will also need...
  • A working knowledge of Photoshop to create your web-ready images and thumbnails for your galleries.
    Photoshop 7, CS, CS2, and Elements all have a simple-to-use "web gallery generator" that creates watermarked (optional) images and thumbnails for your EZPhotoSales galleries. Just create your gallery inside your AfterShutter system, run the PS web gallery generator, upload the resulting images & thumbnails to your webspace, and your gallery will be ready to view.

  • A basic understanding of FTP to move files and folders to your webspace. If you are unfamiliar with FTP, don't worry, the AfterShutter team can help! Be sure to check out the video library for instrutional videos showing exactly how FTP works.

  • A free PayPal business account to accept payments from your customers. Your customers can also submit orders without payment, so you can collect payment later via check or calling in a credit card number. Additional credit card processors will be added in the near future.

     If you use GoDaddy for webhosting, you site must be hosted on a LINUX server.
    Upon your request, GoDaddy will change your site from Windows to a Linux server at no charge.
    If you use Yahoo or Network Solutions for webhosting, AfterShutter will NOT function correctly.
